Personal identification and room reservations are different jobs

A personal office often needs stable information: a person’s name, department and office number. That can be managed directly in the control software without a calendar. A shared office or bookable room can instead use its room calendar as the source of reservation information.

With the intended calendar connection configured, everyday bookings continue in Outlook or Google Calendar. The administrator maps each room calendar to its plate; users do not need to enter the same reservation again in a separate signage application.

Templates bring consistency without making every office identical

Choose a template for a single occupant, a shared office or a department. Edit its layout to give long names enough space and keep the room number in a predictable position. A compact sign should prioritize a few readable fields over a crowded schedule.

Start with a floor, then expand

The 3.7-inch Office model offers 416 × 240 pixels in landscape. The 4.2-inch option provides a different aspect ratio and more vertical space. Both are black-and-white e-ink designs with replaceable batteries and three physical buttons.

No electrical wiring is required at the plate. Installation planning still includes mounts, battery access and base-station coverage. The specification gives a planning distance of approximately 20–50 metres, depending on the environment; a site check is needed rather than assuming a guaranteed radius.
